  My husband and I are building a house and are in the market for an entire appliance package. We visited the showroom last week specifically to look at their Dacor appliances. We were probably the first clients of the day and were greeted by the receptionist eating her breakfast. We asked for the dacor and she just pointed and said its to the right. We walked around and were probably in there for a good 25-30 minutes. Not a single person acknowledged us and asked us if we needed help/ask questions and there were at least 4-6 people working there. I am also in luxury retail and can't imagine not greeting someone properly and educating them on the product you are selling.

  The builder of my home used BSI to install a gas fireplace. At the one year service the blower for the unit did not function. A service tech was dispatched and noted that the fireplace was not wired correctly by the original installer. They left with the unit apparently working. At the next annual inspection of the unit two gas leaks were found, AND an incorrectly wired electrical connection. Neither the original tech, nor the second service tech from BSI noticed. The lack of care during the installation could have very plausibly burned down my house. I am in the process of trying to fix the issue with another installer. I had contacted BSI to let them know about the problem. However, the person I reached via phone noted, "they had been told by management not to schedule service calls for items older than one year." They also noted that I had a very serious problem and needed to find someone that would look into it ASAP.
