Absolute unbelievable disrespect from the shift leader Brittney. I was walking in the door, in which I live within .2 miles of this Walgreens. So I've made that my go-to Walgreens. Tonight as I'm walking into the store, I was looking at the shopping shelves. Their was a minor spill that I hadn't seen so I continued to walk in the path in which I entered the store. Brittney was standing there, along with 2 other employees sitting at the register. Brittney held her hand up at me as if I was a dog, her tone and delivery with what she said was extremely demeaning. I asked her if that's how she speaks and treats all of our customers. She ignored me and continued her conversation with the other two employees. This shift leader displayed no professionalism, I truly could not believe the way she spoke to me, as if I wasn't a customer. Her demeanor was unpleasant, she didn't represent the Walgreens brand whatsoever. There was a gentleman on shift with dreadlocks, I told him about the situation and he apologized to me, and thank me for still choosing to shop there. He was extremely apologetic, and I appreciate his customer service and taking ownership of the unacceptable behavior from the shift leader. As I'm walking to the front counter from the back of the store, I see two customers stop brittney to ask were a particular medicine was, it was the isle in front of them but she pointed them in that direction as if they were stupid and annoying her. Brittney had a very sarcastic and degrading tone with me, and the other customers. The gentleman from the photo booth whom I believe was the other shift lead took ownership and gave me the information I needed to contact the store manager. Some businesses don't realize that people don't have to shop at your particular store, they choose to. And yes 1 customer won't damage revenue but it's the principle. You absolutely do not treat people the way this young treated me, it was all of 15 seconds but I was in disbelief. A better reaction to me walking in that direction could have been "sir, we're getting a spill cleaned up, give me just a second to get it taken care of." She didn't even stop to think if there was something in the area in which she was standing I needed. Once again, thank you especially to the gentleman with the dreadlocks, he told accountability and ownership of the situation. That's true, leadership and customer service. Thank you.
